Anniversary highlighted powerful legacy and exciting future for the world’s first Super Hero

Warner Bros. Discovery and DC called on fans around the world to celebrate #SupermanDay on April 18! Across numerous divisions of Warner Bros. Discovery and DC, Superman Day rallied audiences globally to commemorate the world’s first Super Hero through limited-edition products, publishing, podcasts, and more. Divisions of the company included DC Comics, DC Studios, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood in the U.S., and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, with special appearances on Superman Day in the U.S. by key figures including DC President, Publisher, and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee and DC Studios Co-CEO, James Gunn. Superman Day also showcased new looks at DC Studio’s highly anticipated upcoming film, Superman.

Creator Dean Deblois takes audiences for a ride back into the Isle of Berk in the new “How to Train Your Dragon” featurette

Writer-director Dean Deblois is back at the helm in the live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon, and for him it feels like coming back home. “These characters and this universe have stayed with me, and now we can bring them back with such authenticity and conviction that, when audiences enter this world, they’ll never want to leave,” he says.

How to Train Your Dragon takes audiences to the Isle of Berk, where there’s been a generational feud between Vikings and dragons. BRAND NEW Thundermans Spinoff Show The Thundermans: Undercover to Premiere on Monday, April 7 on Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon today revealed the premiere date for The Thundermans: Undercover, a brand-new spinoff based on characters from the hit live-action superhero comedy. Premiering on April 7 and airing weekdays at 5pm SGT/MYT/PHT, The Thundermans: Undercover follows Phoebe and Max as they are sent undercover to handle a new threat in the beachside town of Secret Shores, with Chloe in tow to develop her superhero talent!

In the premiere episode, “Thundercover,” Phoebe and Max are assigned a mission in their new hi-tech beach home base, where their superhero identities remain a secret. They bring Chloe along to help her have a normal life, but the trio must stop the threats of Secret Shores and the true supervillain known as the Mastermind.

“A Minecraft Movie” is the biggest movie to open this weekend, scoring the second highest international opening ever for a video game movie adaptation. 

The Jared Hess-directed film, based on the best-selling video game of all time, took in a whopping $301 million at the global box office on its first few days in cinemas. In the Philippines, it opened at No. 1, and did very well in other overseas markets too, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Mexico and China. It’s a certified hit in the United States as well, where it opened at $157 million. 

Audiences love “A Minecraft Movie,” giving it a B+ CinemaScore. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an audience rating of 87%.

This Voltes V capsule toy project was Initiated by Bandai Inc. in Japan and crafted by Bandai Namco Philippines Inc. (BNPI) in Batangas, which offers fans a unique way to celebrate the show’s impact for half a century and generations of fans.

The memorable characters and scenes from Voltes V are immortalized in acrylic charms. It’s a creative nod to the anime’s enduring legacy, especially among Filipino fans. Maru Gamerpact Esports made the Philippines proud with their triumph over 882 registered teams. As MLBB’s largest cross-regional grassroots tournament, the event provided a vital platform for empowering emerging talent to pursue their esports aspirations.
