Komiks Overload! A post-komikon special!

KOMIKS!

all the binded books...

and the indie books...

Well one more minor test to go and I think this is the best time to share the komiks that I have read.

Therefore I declare a COMIC REVIEW WEEK!

Maria
  • EDSA ni Mel Casipit
  • Baboy ni Mel Casipit
  • Kapitan Tog 2 by Freely Abrigo
  • Kulas by Freely Abrigo
  • Amush by Anvil
  • Best Things in Life Kubori Kikiam comic compilation ng Point Zero
  • Go Beerkada rise of the Jologs by Lyndon Gregorio
  • Where Bold Stars Go To Die by Gerry Alanguilan
Also from out of the shadows, Sir Julius Villanueva appeared to us LiP fans and had a little chat. And with those, it made my day...

So lets get it on with the first komik on review!

EDSA
by Randy Valiente and Mel Casipit

This comic is my favorite among the ones i bought from komikon 2009. I actually saw this one from the komikon summer fiesta but was unable to buy one. However this time I was able to get my hands on one and here is what I can say about it. Of course we know EDSA, not just the highway but also the event that happened that ousted the presidents of the country. The plot shows the same situation, poverty, corruption, power-struggle and the pursuit of hope. The protagonist is Piolo (nope, not the moviestar) which was part of the resistance. As turmoil rises among the presidency versus the opposition and other forces, Piolo also mad his move every night, which his wife doesn't know until one day. The statue of our lady of EDSA plays a special role in the plot, which surprized me. And at the end, you will encounter a very familiar scene, and what I felt was the quote "history repreats itself" lingering in my head.

Congrats Krisis Komix!

Krisis Komix presents Family is Funny!

(asaness!)

So anong bago? abangan na lang... (talagang may suspense!)
for now let's celebrate! yipee!!!

Yu Jin and the Bad Hair fan...

Go Jun Pyo! - Jan Di

Yu Jin... Bad Hair...

sorry sorry sorry... - super junior

ingat lang Ray, baka ma-taekwondo ka niya...

I heart PGMA...

who needs beer if you can chug all you can for your thirst for animé and komiks? Like the major animé, habang may buhay may pag-asa, yatta!)

KOMIKON 2009
(October 18, 2009, SM Megamall Megatrade Hall)

Photobucket

ANICON 2009
(October 11, 2009, SM Megamall Megatrade Hall)

Otakukingdom 2009
(October 18, 2009, Enchanted Kingdom, Sta. Rosa, Laguna)

Ayus!

Be Part of Earth Hour!
