Comicxhub Poster For Upcoming Event

I just got an image in email from comicxhub that they will be having something big that will happen soon. In the poster it only said "6 Days. A Premiere Comicx Hub Event" With this short yet eye catching poster, It leaves me clueless on what to expect but think that this must be something big. 

And yes, I am very excited about this one as we start 2013 with something comic related. It could be a sale, it could be something coming soon, or it could be a week of celebration. These are just my theories, we just now wait for more details about this intriguing poster.

Sorry for not updating lately on this komik blog because of tons and tons of committments left and right that made me so busy and hardly made any komiks this year. But as part of my New Year resolution, I will give priority again back to Krisis Komix and will release a new one this Summer Komikon. 

Speaking of Komikon, just today they announced the date of the event that will be on April 13, 2013. What?! I said to myself since I am just working on my new titles this year, namely IFIINITE KRISIS featuring Cadena de Amor (no this is not a love story, well not yet but will be kickass!).

Krisis will also have major changes in terms of genre and style so it would appeal to more people and also get attention. 2012 may be a slow year for me but I got a lot of lessons this year that I can use for the komiks. Even with shool and events, I think I can do better this year and also be a year of big imrpovements.

The Animax Carnival Philippines Cosplay Competition Registration is now open. The registration period is from NOVEMER 12 - 19, 2012 NO EXTENSION. Prizes at stake is 15,000 pesos per category. There are 3 Categories Anime Manga, Sci-fi Non Anime Movies and Original Cosplay Inspired Creation. The winners will be judged on December 9, 2012 During the Animax Carnival.

COMICXHUB Year One!

Time does fly by so fast and a year a ago I was talking to Lawerence about his online business which is really interesting and a first in the country. COMICXHUB is a venture that made comics collecting easier with a few simple clicks. And fast forward to 12 months, it is now celebrating its first year! 

And with the anniversary held at the Collective last September 29 also comes another milestone with the opening of CASTLE GEEK store there which serves as another physical store aside from their office store in Shaw boulevard. 

The night was filled with comics (local and international), action figure collections, sketches from comic artists and even fun games and raffle of prizes. They also gave recognized the people and organizations that helped them a lot for its first year. And we are happy to be one of them! To Comicxhub, thank you very much for providing a one of kind service plus your support for the Filipino komiks industry, we wish more years of success (and more branches of castle geek) to come!

COMIXHUB: Mico Suayan Interview

I has been a great time talking to MICO SUAYAN during the Comicxhub book signing event. I just learned that you don't need to go out of the country to be part of comic book companies with the help of technology. And with more opportunities opening for comic book artists, Its really fun to be a komik artist here in the Philippines! He also made a cameo in the comics he made.

KOMIKON INDIEKET This July 14!

After the very successful KOMIKON at the Bayanihan Center in Pasig. Indeed the time was not enough for the public to get to know more about the independent komiks that is the growing community (especially with our group in Indie Komiks Manila). Komikon creats a new event that spotlights on the Indie Komiks with the first Indieket 2012.

The 1st Komikon Grand Independent Komiks Market. A mini-event from Komikon. This will happen at the Bayanihan Center in Pasig on July 14 with an entrance fee of only 30 pesos!
