Comicxhub Poster For Upcoming Event

I just got an image in email from comicxhub that they will be having something big that will happen soon. In the poster it only said "6 Days. A Premiere Comicx Hub Event" With this short yet eye catching poster, It leaves me clueless on what to expect but think that this must be something big. 

And yes, I am very excited about this one as we start 2013 with something comic related. It could be a sale, it could be something coming soon, or it could be a week of celebration. These are just my theories, we just now wait for more details about this intriguing poster.

COMICXHUB Year One!

Time does fly by so fast and a year a ago I was talking to Lawerence about his online business which is really interesting and a first in the country. COMICXHUB is a venture that made comics collecting easier with a few simple clicks. And fast forward to 12 months, it is now celebrating its first year! 

And with the anniversary held at the Collective last September 29 also comes another milestone with the opening of CASTLE GEEK store there which serves as another physical store aside from their office store in Shaw boulevard. 

The night was filled with comics (local and international), action figure collections, sketches from comic artists and even fun games and raffle of prizes. They also gave recognized the people and organizations that helped them a lot for its first year. And we are happy to be one of them! To Comicxhub, thank you very much for providing a one of kind service plus your support for the Filipino komiks industry, we wish more years of success (and more branches of castle geek) to come!

COMIXHUB: Mico Suayan Interview

I has been a great time talking to MICO SUAYAN during the Comicxhub book signing event. I just learned that you don't need to go out of the country to be part of comic book companies with the help of technology. And with more opportunities opening for comic book artists, Its really fun to be a komik artist here in the Philippines! He also made a cameo in the comics he made.

This Free Comic Book Day (May 5, 2012), aside from getting free comics is also a time for comic book lovers and supporters to help one Filipino comic legend, Tony De Zuniga, who worked on Jonah Hex is now in need of support in his hospital expenses. Indie Komiks Manila, Comicxhub, Comic Odyssey, FlipGeeks will have a fund rasing campaign to with SKETCH FOR MANG TONY that will happen on May 5 at Comic Odyssey in Robinsons Galeria and Comicxhub office, 3rd floor, Bloomingdale Plaza, Shaw Bouleveard.

Show your support this FCBD and lets all help Mang Tony as our prayers for his recovery is also underway. 

Free Comic Book Day 2012!

This year, Free Comic Book Day is back this May 5, 2012 and the fun gets more exciting with another IKM project for Free Comic Book Day 2012 featuring the works of Komik artists and teasers for the upcoming Komikon. Comicxhub has joined to make another Indie komik compilation for FCBD 2012. Comic Odyssey is also getting prepared with a new relocated store. Thus this would make people lining up very early how they will make it as the first to be in the line.
