PokéMOBA! Tencent and Pokemon Comany Brings Pokémon Unite!

Pokémon presents just aired recently and now revealed a whole new Pokémon game that will be available for Nintendo Switch and mobile phones, Pokémon Unite - a multiplayer online battle arena which uses Pokémon as its heroes for the game.

Presented by President and CEO of the Pokémon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara, the reveal done at Pokémon presents event online first shown the availability of Pokémon Café Mix now available for download.

But the big reveal was the introduction of the new game which is similar to games like Mobile Legends and LOL Wild Rift. This game was also made in cooperation with Tencent Games which also made games like Arena of Valor which is also a MOBA game.

Pokémon Unite however has also it differences that makes it unique and adapted to the Pokémon universe. the Battle Map comes in a elliptical form and turrets are now bases which the "hero" Pokémons collect points when they rest on its range. The "minions" and "beasts" in the map are also Pokémon which gives experience to the player.

The character will also evolve and develop skills as they battle with the ulimate skill called "Unite Move". As seen in the livestream, there are ten initial Pokémon heroes to choose from: Venusaur, Charizar, Blastoise, Pikachu, Clefable, Machamp, Gengar, Snorlax, Luacrio
and Talonflame.

A sample game was also played in the video which showed the gameplay that is looks like a cute version of Mobile Legends. Though its launch is still unannounced, people are now hyping the surprise of game. This is probably bigger news than the newly released expansion pack of Pokémon Sword/Sheild The Isle of Armor.

With MOBA games now popular in mobile gaming, this can really get more players into the Pokémon. With Pokémon Go also losing players because of the quarantine, this has the potential to get a lot of players on its launch.

Honestly it is really exciting and hopefully it will expand to more Pokémon selections like other MOBAs do from time to time. Who would you like to see to be included in Pokémon Unite?
