Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson Lead Women Representation in "Dune"

How important is women representation in cinema today? For the filmmakers of “Dune,” it is of utmost significance. So much so that the filmmakers decided to switch the gender of an important character into female, while remaining respectful and true to Frank Herbert's book from which the film was based.  Read on if you want to know which character it is.

"Dune" Surpasses $300 Million at the Worldwide Box Office

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Dune,” from visionary filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, crosses the $300 million mark at the global box office today, with Monday’s numbers in North America topping more than $71 million and more than $228 million from overseas, and counting.

A succession of impressive #1 openings, coupled with strong word of mouth, had anticipation for the film increasing exponentially as the film rolled out around the globe.  The epic action adventure, based on the seminal Frank Herbert novel, kicked off the fall season to great fanfare at the Venice and Toronto film festivals before beginning its theatrical play mid-September.

Big-Screen Adventure "Dune" Opens in PH Cinemas Nov 10

After an eternity of cinema closure, the time has come to experience “Dune” on the big screen the way it’s meant to be seen.  Warner Bros. Philippines is happy to announce that the epic adventure will open exclusively in Philippine theaters on Wednesday, November 10.

As director Denis Villenueve (“Blade Runner 2049,” “Arrival”) has said: “`Dune’ has been made, designed, dreamed to be seen on a big screen.”
