"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" Swings Back to IMAX Cinemas in PH

Fresh from receiving a nomination for Best Animated Feature at this year’s Academy Awards, Columbia Pictures’ Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will swing back to IMAX cinemas in the Philippines starting January 26, even as it continues its heroic run at regular theaters nationwide.

This gives fans the chance to watch the Golden Globe Best Motion Picture - Animation winner in the biggest screen possible, making the Spider-Verse truly immersive.

Republic Records, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment, have announced that they will release the Official Soundtrack Album for Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse on December 14. The film opens in Philippine theaters nationwide on December 13.

Multi-platinum, chart-dominating artists Post Malone & Swae Lee are on the first single from the upcoming soundtrack, “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)”. The single re-teams Post & Swae Lee after the two joined forces for “Spoil My Night” from the year’s biggest multi-platinum album, beerbongs & bentleys [Republic Records].

"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" Launches New Trailer

Sony Pictures Animation today launched the first full trailer for Spider-Man™:Into the Spider-Verse and confirmed the vocal cast joining Shameik Moore as he takes on the role of Miles Morales.  

Jake Johnson is joining the cast as Miles’ reluctant mentor, Peter Parker, with Liev Schreiber playing the larger-than-life crime lord Kingpin, Hailee Steinfeld playing the spunky, free-spirited Spider-Gwen, Oscar® winner Mahershala Ali as Miles’ influential uncle Aaron, Brian Tyree Henry playing Miles’ father Jefferson, Luna Lauren Velez as Miles’ mother Rio, and Lily Tomlin as Aunt May. 

Commenting on the announcement, producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller said, “We are lucky to have such an amazing cast of funny, genuine creative souls to populate the Spider-verse. They have generous minds and great big hearts. And they have very talented throats. Which is where their delightful voices come from.”
