The contenders are composed of four (4) strong Burmese quintets with direct invites, namely Falcon Esports, AI Esports, Burmese Ghouls, and Fenix Esports.
Falcon Esports was last year's representative to MSC 2022 and shocked the world with their outstanding performance. They also joined the recent M4 World Championship and reached 5th-6th place. Popular team AI Esports, M2 World Championship runner ups Burmese Ghouls, and Fenix Esports complete the list of direct-invite contenders.
Meanwhile, four (4) teams are qualified to compete in the qualifiers. They are Team Mahar, Zino Esports, RM Esports and Basic Esparto, a young team of teenagers that will compete in a professional tournament for the first time.
Based on the group draw last 25 March, the eight (8) teams are divided into Group A and B. On 30 March, the Group Stage will see an opener between Fenix Esports and Zino Esports. All Group Stage matches start at 2:30 PM (GMT+6:30).
Top two teams from each group will advance to the Upper Bracket, while the remaining teams will enter the Lower Bracket. The last team in each group will be eliminated from the tournament. Playoffs will start from 7 until 9 April.
All matches will be livestreamed via MLBB Esports Myanmar's new official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MobileLegendsEsportsMyanmar/.
This year, MSC is set to make history with the inclusion of new teams outside Southeast Asia, namely North America, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), and Turkey. In line with the vision, "Esports for Everyone", MSC 2023 seeks to increase contender diversity by inviting non-SEA teams to compete in one of the biggest MOBA tournaments in the world.
