Chopsoy Comics’ PEEJAY CATACUTAN signing for BUSTER

Celebrating the launch of Chopsoy Comics’ first series Buster, creator Peejay Catacutan will be signing copies on July 9, 1-4 pm at Comic Odyssey in Fully Booked BGC.

Buster  follows four soldiers trapped within the enemy stronghold, a country used to be known as the Philippines. Captain Gan, an aging Japanese warrior leads a team consisting of a Russian speedster, a Canadian girl capable of doing herculean feats, and an American engineering genius in their first counter-offensive. Their secret weapon? A legendary blast from the Philippine past. What stands between them and victory is a ruthless army led by a dangerous man who sees the world as his prey. The world was lost in the third world war. The fight to win it back starts now.

Art For The Heart: Silent Auction and Live Art for Typhoon Yolanda Victims

Comic lovers and creators can also help the people will come together to help people affected by the recent typhoon. Fully Booked, Comic Odyssey and Vinyl on Vinyl present ART WITH HEART: Silent Auction and Live Art for Typhoon Yolanda Victims. Visual, street and comic artists come together to sketch and paint live to help relief efforts of the recent typhoon.

Commission a sketch, purchase merchandise, and participate in the silent auction featuring many beautiful Original Comic Art pieces donated by both artists as well as comic fans. Visual and street artists will also be painting and selling the finished pieces. 100% of sales will support relief efforts via the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

This Free Comic Book Day (May 5, 2012), aside from getting free comics is also a time for comic book lovers and supporters to help one Filipino comic legend, Tony De Zuniga, who worked on Jonah Hex is now in need of support in his hospital expenses. Indie Komiks Manila, Comicxhub, Comic Odyssey, FlipGeeks will have a fund rasing campaign to with SKETCH FOR MANG TONY that will happen on May 5 at Comic Odyssey in Robinsons Galeria and Comicxhub office, 3rd floor, Bloomingdale Plaza, Shaw Bouleveard.

Show your support this FCBD and lets all help Mang Tony as our prayers for his recovery is also underway. 

Free Comic Book Day 2011 with a free Pinoy Komik, INDIES MAXIMUS!
