Just greeting the epic genius who gave us amazing characters like Spiderman, Thor, X-men and many more. Now celebrating his 89th birthday, still strong and makes great stories (and movie cameos) that the future generations will definitely enjoy!

TOYCON 2011 Today and Tomorrow!

Here now at megamall to cover ToyCon 2011, though I am on a budget I would like to still experience this event as I have done in the last 3 years. More details and pictures to come after this so stay tuned as we also await the birth anniversary of Jose Rizal tomorrow because I will be at Rizal Park before going to the second day of toycon. 

TOYCON 2011 The Venue of a Cosplay Movie!?

Be one of the cosplayers present at the TOYCON this year and be part of movie project called COSPLAY NATION. As we all know that the cosplay community in the Philippines is expanding and also attracting a lot of audience. And with the burst of cosplayers and conventions, I think its time for us to make at least a documentary about this industry. And of course, this will be lead by the cosplay Goddess of the Philippines, Ms. Alodia Gosiengfiao!  And also TOYCON goes bigger and bigger this year as it celebrates its 10th year. I have been attending TOYCON for years now and also saw that progress and support it got from the public, cosplayers and toy enthusiasts. Again this will be on June 18-19, 2011 at Megatrade Halls 1, 2, & 3!

Free Comic Book Day 2011 with a free Pinoy Komik, INDIES MAXIMUS!

It another year for the free comic book day this may. And for this year, aside from the American titles that will be given, our group from Indie Komiks Manila will also give out INDIES MAXIMUS, a collection of Filipino Independent Komik samples from the indie komik creators and illustrations. INDIES MAXIMUS is Published by Komikon Inc., Comic Odyssey, Pinoy Indie Manila and CoRe Studios. The Free Comic Book Day will happen in Comic Odyssey at Robinsons Galeria, Pasig City this May 7, 2011. There will also be guest artists that will also give sketches. So save the date and be there!

Komikon 2011 Summer Bayanihan: Komiks Moving Onwards

Komikon season this 2011 starts big as the summer de avance convention that is always held at the UP Bahay ng Alumni. But this year, they will actually have this event at the bayanihan center in Pasig City (near ortigas and pioneer districts). Moving to a different venue would be really new and promises to have the same success of last years komikon held at Star Mall.

This year, it will highlight the women comic makers and also the opening for nominations for the komikon award that will be held in the main komikon in the last half of the year.

Hopefully I will also be part of the indie tiange for the launch the second krisis komix compilation KRISIS KOMIX WORLD KRISIS, featuring two other works, JOHNNY ASTIG and ANG BAGONG KIDLAT. 

This will all happen on April 16, 2011 from 10 am to 7pm.

Entrance is Php 100.
