"Suicide Squad" Launches Character Icon Logos‏

Warner Bros. Pictures has just rolled out the skull-themed icon logos of its “Suicide Squad” villainous characters. Check out the darkly inspired looks below, plus the combo character icon (featuring all the logos in one frame) and come back tomorrow for the release of the film's new trailer.

The new action adventure “Suicide Squad” brings DC Comics’ super villain team to the big screen under the direction of David Ayer (“Fury”), who also wrote the screenplay.

The film stars two-time Oscar nominee Will Smith as Deadshot; Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg; Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn; Oscar winner Jared Leto as the Joker; Jai Courtney as Boomerang; and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.

Completing the cast are Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as Diablo, Adam Beach as Slipknot and Karen Fukuhara as Katana.

“Suicide Squad” is produced by Charles Roven (“The Dark Knight” trilogy, upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”) and Richard Suckle (“American Hustle”). Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson and Geoff Johns are serving as executive producers.

The film is slated for release in the Philipines on August 3, 2016, from Warner Bros. Pictures.

Warner TV Gets Legendary with the Best of DC

When heroes are no longer enough to save the Earth from evil elements, who would be humanity’s last hope? From the creators of Warner TV’s other hit superhero series – The Flash and ARROW – comes DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, forming the world’s greatest assemble for humankind's ultimate battle. 

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is a sister-series to The Flash and ARROW, developed by Greg Berlanti. The show opens with time-travelling rogue, Time Master Rip Hunter, played by Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who), in the year 2166. Hunter sees the immortal Vandal Savage (played by Casper Crump) on the verge of his final victory – bringing total chaos and the utter destruction. This abomination pushes Hunter to take matters into his own hands and travels 150 years into the past to assemble a team of carefully-selected heroes and rogues to stop Savage.

Asia Pop Comicon 2016 Dates Confirmed!

As 2016 came, one of the awaited geek events that will make a comeback is the Asia Pop Comicon which held a successful first run last year at the World Trade Center. They had special guest like Colton Hayes, Jeremy Shada, and Paul Bethany which brought the world of superheroes closer to Filipino fans.

It was announced that the Asia Pop Comicon Manila will happen on August 26-28, 2016. Though it would be most likely that it will be the same venue, the most important thing is that the dates are now officially announced. 

So plan your leaves, save money, and prepare your cameras and costumes as we look forward to the biggest geek event in the country. Also very excited who will be the new celebrity guests that will grace the event *whispers let it be Benedict Cumbercatch*.

Celebration Continues January 8 In Cinemas - “SNOOPY AND CHARLIE BROWN THE PEANUTS MOVIE”

The festive celebration continues this January 8 (Friday) when “Snoopy and Charlie Brown The Peanuts Movie” opens in Philippine cinemas nationwide.  

At its core, “Snoopy and Charlie Brown The Peanuts Movie”  is about everyday anxieties we encounter while growing up, going to school, and dealing with the perceptions people have about one another.  “We took that theme and changed the overall tone of the movie, which resulted in a stronger message, one that both adults and children can relate to,” says Craig Schulz, son of Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz.

Hamill, Fischer, Ford: "Star Wars" Legends Return in "The Force Awakens"

Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are poised to accomplish what was once deemed impossible: reprise their original “Star Wars” characters Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo after almost forty years after the first “Star Wars” movie, “Episode IV: A New Hope.”

With Lucasfilm's “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opening in the Philippines on Dec. 17, the trio of actors and characters will finally come full circle to continue the most passionately followed saga ever in motion picture history.

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit "X-Men: Days of Future Past," director Bryan Singer returns with "X-Men: Apocallypse." Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. The Christmas Toys & Collectibles Fair 2015 kicks off today at the SM Megatrade Hall 2 in SM Megamall with toys, gifts, freebies -- and free Wi-Fi from LexCorp Industries.

The tech company will be the three-day event’s official Wi-Fi sponsor from Dec. 11 to 13, starting at 10AM to 9PM. Fair attendees simply have to drop by the LexCorp booth to register and get their password to access Wi-Fi.

Production Begins on Wonder Woman Feature Film‏

Principal photography is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ Wonder Woman feature film, the highly anticipated action adventure from director Patty Jenkins (“Monster,” AMC’s “The Killing”), starring Gal Gadot (the “Fast & Furious” movies) in the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. The character will make her big screen debut this spring in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” but the new film will mark her first time headlining a feature.

The film also stars Chris Pine (the “Star Trek” films) as Captain Steve Trevor, Robin Wright (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”), Danny Huston (“Clash of the Titans,” “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”), David Thewlis (the “Harry Potter” films), Ewen Bremner (“Exodus: Gods and Kings”), Saïd Taghmaoui (“American Hustle”), Elena Anaya (“The Skin I Live In”) and Lucy Davis (“Shaun of the Dead”).

Toonami Snaps Up ‘DRAGON BALL SUPER’

Turner’s action and anime channel to premiere Toei’s latest animated series in 2016

Dragon Ball Super (52x30’), the first Dragon Ball television series to be produced in nearly 20 years, will make its pan-regional launch on Toonami, Turner’s kids brand dedicated to delivering the best superhero and action-adventure animation, in mid-2016.

The latest instalment of the classic franchise will have an exclusive first-run premiere on Toonami, which will also be its English-language world premiere. “This announcement is huge for fanboys and girls in Asia. Dragon Ball is undoubtedly the original and world’s biggest anime export, and is a cornerstone of our programming on Toonami,” said Mark Eyers, Chief Content Officer for Turner’s Kids Networks in Asia Pacific.

“Since the channel launched in 2012, Toonami has been airing episodes of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z Kai, and to premiere Dragon Ball Super demonstrates the channel’s continued commitment to securing must-have and must-see content, first on Toonami,” Eyers added.

Komikon This Saturday!




The most awaited comic event in the Philippines is here! Since there is no Summer Komikon this year, It comes to much anticipation that the "winter" Komikon should appease the craving of the growing komiks community and market. This year's Komikon is aslo running for two days! Which makes up for the komikon last summer.  

This year, there are a lot of celebrations and new titles that many are excited to get. Of course there is the Independent Komiks Tiangge, Komiks Kalye, and special guests like Mico Suayan, Omeng Estanislao, and Raykosen.

A group spotlight on Alamat Comics which is celebrating its 20 years in the industry. So don't forget that this is happening this upcoming weekend. For more information and schedules you can check out the Komikon page.

Again this will happen on November 14-15, 2015. Unfortunately, Krisis Komix is still on hiatus so we won't be selling new titles but stay tuned for news and a possible revival for next year's komikon.
