The Alien "Venom" Looms Large in Brand New Poster

Columbia Pictures has revealed the brand new poster for its upcoming action-thriller Venom from director Ruben Fleisher and starring Tom Hardy.

About Venom

One of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters takes center stage as Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) becomes the host for the alien symbiote Venom. As a journalist, Eddie has been trying to take down the notorious Life Foundation scientist Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed) for years – an obsession that ruined his career and his relationship with his girlfriend, Anne (Michelle Williams). When one of Drake’s experiments – the alien Venom – merges with Eddie’s body, he suddenly has incredible new superpowers, and the chance to do just about whatever he wants. Twisted, dark, unpredictable, and fueled by rage, Venom leaves Eddie wrestling to control dangerous abilities that he also finds empowering and intoxicating. New Images from Marvel Studios' "Captain Marvel" Reveal Skrulls, Kree, and More

We're still a little over seven months until the theatrical release of Marvel Studios' “Captain Marvel,” starring Brie Larson. We know it's a lot of time before we're heading back to the 90s and graced by Carol Danvers' presence. Until then, we've got some official images from the film to hold you over.

About “Captain Marvel”

Set for release in the Philippines on March 6, 2019, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, whose credits include “Mississippi Grind” and “Half Nelson.” An all-star collective of accomplished writers penned the screenplay, including Meg LeFauve (“Inside Out),  Nicole Perlman (upcoming “First Man,” Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy”), Geneva Robertson-Dworet (“Tomb Raider” ), Liz Flahive & Carly Mensch (“Glow”), and Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck.

With the guesting of Finn Jones and Showrunner Raven Metzner at the APCC (Asia Pop Comicon) Manila, it was expected that there will be surprizes the will be shown during the Netflix panel. Finn Jones even joined the Luke Cage panel just to showcase the partnership between the two defenders to team up in the future.  And with Iron Fist Season 2 set to start streamin starting September 7, 2018, Raven and Finn just dropped something spectacular for fans, a trailer for season 2 and an exclusive screening of the FIRST EPISODE of Season 2!

It was a riot moment during the panel when these were announced, they said that they did not flew a long way to Manila just to share a little tease of season 2. They also showed a video message of the other cast Jessica Henwick (Coleen Wing), which was supposed to be the guest for APCC, and Sacha Dhawan (Davos) who is currently doing a theater production. 

"POKEMON Detectuve Pikachu" Movie Reveals Official Title Logo

At the opening ceremonies of the 2018 Pokémon World Championships, The Pokémon Company, along with its partners from Legendary Entertainment, unveiled the official title and logo for the first-ever live action Pokémon movie, POKÉMON Detective Pikachu.

Mr. Tsunekazu Ishihara, president of The Pokémon Company, welcomed the movie’s director, Rob Letterman, and actors Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton to the stage for the surprise reveal.

The stars also engaged the room full of the world’s best Pokémon players in a chant of “Pikachu!” which was recorded for use in the upcoming film.

Stellar Voice Actors Unite for "Teen Titans GO! To The Movies"

To complement the voice actors playing the titular roles in Warner Bros. Animation’s “Teen Titas GO! To The Movies,” the filmmakers cast a roster of voice artists for the supporting characters, including Kristen Bell as Jade Wilson, Will Arnett as Slade, Nicolas Cage as Superman, Halsey as Wonder Woman and Jimmy Kimmel as Batman.

“Casting the film was really fun,” producer Peggy Regan recalls.  “We got some amazing talent to come in even for the briefest roles, and I’m excited for the fans to see whose voices they recognize.”

Rest In Peace Steve Ditko

The comics community is in mouring for the passing of one of the comic legend Steve Ditko who was found dead in his apartment last June 29, 2018. He is known to be the co-creator of iconic comic characters like Spider-Man and Doctor Strage. He also behind DC Characters like Creeper, Hawk and Dove, Question, Captain Atom, and Blue Beetle. 

Born November 2, 1927, he started his career in comics in 1953 with Atlas Comics (Predecessor of Marvel Comics) where he worked on Doctor Strange and The Amazing Spider-Man but left in 1966 for unspecified reasons.

"Ant-Man and The Wasp" Connects Directly with "Avengers 4"

Don’t look now, but it appears “Ant-Man and The Wasp,” aka Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, will have a major influence in the resolution of the events after last April’s “Avengers: Infinity War.”

In a recent featurette released by Marvel Studios (https://youtu.be/tn9uHjqeqFQ), Feige declares, “Ant-Man and The Wasp also directly connects to `Avengers 4.’ These characters are going to be very important going forward.”
