Seven Lakes Komiks Festival 2024 Brings Komiks Beyond The Metro

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the Metro Manila convention scene, and join us this May 11, 2024 as we celebrate Filipino Komiks at the Seven Lakes Komiks Festival! To be held at the cozy and laidback premises of Casa San Pablo, this event seeks to create a komiks-centric space to release new books and introduce new and old creators to each other in a relaxed community setting.

San Pablo is rich with Komiks history, and partnering with both the Komikero Komiks Museum started by the late Gerry Alanguilan, and with Casa San Pablo, the Seven Lakes Komiks Organizing Committee aims to provide a fun filled day of reading and dialogue about komiks, connecting creators with readers, and hopefully create a new fans as well. Our event is proudly sponsored by Komikon Inc.,  (short description of Komikon),  and CARD MRI Publishing House Inc., a local publishing house under CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), that aims to "to elevate the capacity of CARD MRI clients by providing progressive and positive stories." We are also supported by The Graphic Literature Guild, a student organization for artists, writers, and comic enthusiasts based in UP Los Baños, and will be covered by our official media partners Indie Komiks Podcast and Blink Creative Studio.

The 3rd San Pablo Comics Festival

Who says comic conventions only happen in the Metro? The San Pablo City Comics Festival to be held where komikero Gerry Alanguilan lives proves that even in the province, onw can enjoy the rich art and stories from comic people sharing their experiences and sketches that promotes the comic industry in the country. Now on its 3rd year, it shows a promising dawn to more comic loving people in Laguna.

This will happen on December 3, 2011, Saturday, 9-7:30 PM at Unimart Mall, San Pablo City, Laguna. Guest artists include Manix Abrera (Kikomachine Komix), Jess Abrera (Guyito), and Pol Medina (Pugad Baboy).
